I´m Saman, a multimedia artist and creator based in Vienna, Austria. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Digital Design at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Pölten, with a focus on Experimental Media. My work bridges experimental media, video art, photography, and generative AI to explore the intersections of identity, memory, and technology.
From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the power of visual storytelling. Photography became one of my earliest passions, and it remains a significant part of my creative practice today. My projects often blend real and surreal elements, embracing a melancholic aesthetic that challenges conventional narratives. I believe that beauty often exists in tension with imperfection. The darker, more somber tones in my work reflect this philosophy—revealing that even what is considered "ugly" or "unsightly" can carry its own unique and profound beauty. In the interplay between light and shadow, between beauty and the grotesque, lies a deeper emotional truth that inspires me to create.
Music is another source of inspiration in my work, not just as an art form but as a reflection of the world around me. The sounds of a car horn, footsteps on the street, the hum of the city, or fragments of overheard conversations often serve as creative sparks. While I’m not a professional musician, sound and rhythm are integral to my creative process, influencing the way I construct narratives and visuals.
Working on projects ranging from multimedia works and audiovisual creations to live performances with orchestras has fostered my focus on innovation and collaboration. I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of art and technology, finding beauty in the unconventional, and creating work that invites viewers to see the world through a new lens.
For me, art is not just about expression—it’s about connection. It’s about navigating the spaces between humanity and technology, between the tangible and the imagined, and discovering new ways to tell stories that resonate across cultures and experiences.
